Amazon to create 100,000 more jobs in the US
The new roles will include openings at 100 new warehouse and operations sites being opened by Amazon this month

Amazon is to employ 100,000 more workers in the US as its demand continues to boom during the pandemic.
The e-commerce giant said the new positions offer full- and part-time employment in the US and Canada. The new roles will include working at the 100 new warehouse and operations sites that Amazon is opening this month.
On top of that, it is also still assessing the need for seasonal employment in the upcoming winter period.
As of June 30, the company employed 876,800 people, excluding contractors and temporary workers.
Alongside the new job creations, Amazon is said to be in the process of launching automation in its newest buildings.
Amazon announced 33,000 new roles for corporate and technology workers earlier this month.

It also announced 100,000 new operations jobs in March and 75,000 and April, to help those who had lost their jobs elsewhere during the pandemic.
Amazon saw its revenue rise last quarter by 40 per cent, its largest profit on record.
The new hiring announcement makes it the fourth hiring spree by Amazon in the US this year.
