Bitcoin of America adds dogecoin to its ATMs
The company already has 1,800 bitcoin ATM machines across 31 US states
Bitcoin of America, the bitcoin cash machine operator, has announced that dogecoin (DOGE) is now available to withdraw at its bitcoin ATM machines (BTMs).
The company said it recognised “the growing popularity of dogecoin and decided it was time to include it in their BTMs”.
In October 2021, Bitcoin of America added ethereum (ETH) to its BTMs and offers litecoin (LTC) options online.
Bitcoin of America is registered as a money services business with the US Department of Treasury and the company already has 1,800 BTMs across 31 US states.

Chicago Blackhawks radio post-game show sponsor
Also in October 2021, Bitcoin of America became the sponsor of the Chicago Blackhawk’s post-game radio show.
The National Hockey League (NHL) team fan base has brought a new audience to Bitcoin of America, according to the ATM company. Bitcoin of America is “taking major steps to incorporate cryptocurrency into sports” through the deal.
Adverts for the ATM operator are featured around the United Center arena and on its LED strip. The United Center is where both the Chicago Blackhawks and the National Basketball Association (NBA) team the Chicago Bulls play.
Bitcoin of America adverts feature in the Chicago Blackhawks programmes as well as in adverts on the World’s Greatest Newspaper (WGN) radio station website. WGN is the flagship radio outlet for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Uruguay installs its first bitcoin ATM
Uruguay installed its first bitcoin ATM in January, it has been revealed.
Developed and installed by local cryptocurrency companies URUBit and inBierto, the ATM is thought to be the 80th such machine in South America.
The ATM for the world’s first and largest cryptocurrency is located in Punta del Este, a coastal city and one of Uruguay’s largest tourist destinations.
The ATM also allows users to deposit and withdraw URUBit (URUB), binance USD (BUSD), binance coin (BNB) and ferret token (FRT). The decentralised token of URUBit, URUB is deployed on the Binance Smart Chain.
