Crypto market update: BTC falls to $32,000

The biggest riser of the day out of the top 100 cryptos is waves (WAVES)

The price of bitcoin (BTC) ended yesterday at $34,026 after dropping by 4.05% during the day, according to Currency.com. The price of the lead crypto is now $32,931.

The trading volume of BTC has increased by 23.56% over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, all the top 10 cryptos are down today according to CoinMarketCap, with BTC down by 5.59%.    

Ethereum (ETH) is down by 7.32% to $2,377, Binance coin (BNB) is down by 7.74% to $329, Cardano (ADA) is down by 11.48% to $0.66 and Solana (SOL) is down by 9.55% to $71.

The two stablecoins in the top 10 cryptos are both down today. Tether (USDT) is down by 0.01% and has fallen below the $1 mark to $0.99. USD Coin (USDC) is down by 0.03% and is also at $0.99.

Ripple (XRP) is down by 7.50% to $0.53 and Dogecoin (DOGE), which has fallen out of the top 10 cryptos and is currently in 12th place, is down by 7.84% to $0.11.

Biggest risers out of the top 100 cryptos  

The biggest riser of the day out of the top 100 cryptos is waves (WAVES), which is up 6.23% to $13.99. According to CoinMarketCap, WAVES “is a multi-purpose blockchain platform which supports various use cases including decentralised applications (DApps) and smart contracts.”

The second biggest riser of the day out of the top 100 is NEAR Protocol (NEAR), which increased by 5.79% to $11.16. NEAR “is a layer-one blockchain that was designed as a community-run cloud computing platform”, states CoinMarketCap.

The third biggest top 100 riser of the day is UNUS SED LEO (LEO) and has risen by 1.38% to $5.42. CoinMarketCap says LEO “is a utility token that’s used across the iFinex ecosystem. The unusual name is based on a Latin citation from one of Aesop’s fables.”

Biggest fallers out of the top 100 cryptos

Algorand (ALGO) is the biggest faller of the day out of the top 100 cryptos, which has dropped by 13.47% to $0.66. ALGO is “a self-sustaining, decentralised, blockchain-based network that supports a wide range of applications”, says CoinMarketCap.

The second biggest faller of the day out of the top 100 is shiba inu (SHIB) having decreased by 12.32% to $0.00001664. According to CoinMarketCap SHIB is the meme coin “dogecoin killer”.

The third biggest faller out of the top 100 is kava (KAVA) having dropped by 11.94% to $3.14. CoinMarketCap states KAVA is a “Layer-1 blockchain that combines the speed and interoperability of Cosmos with the developer power of Ethereum”.

Overall biggest crypto risers

Out of the more than 10,000 cryptos listed on CoinMarketCap, MetaPay (METAPAY) is the overall biggest riser of the day, up by 544.61% to $0.00003384. According to CoinMarketCap, “with MetaPay, you will be able to sell the parcels and avatars you will buy in this metaverse universe later if you wish, and you will be able to convert them into MetaPay tokens”.

The second biggest riser of all cryptos is Metacyber (METAC) and has risen by 496.44% to $0.0000001225. METAC “is the main currency and utility token used in the MetaCyber metaverse”, CoinMarketCap says.

The third overall biggest riser is octopus protocol (OPS), it has increased by 104.86% to $0.007412. CoinMarketCap states the crypto exchanges that offer people the chance to trade in OPS is Gate.io and Decoin.

Overall biggest crypto fallers

SafeFloki (SFK) is the biggest faller of the day out of all cryptos listed on CoinMarketCap, as it has fallen by 87.18% to $0.00000000001975. CoinMarketCap described SFK as a “play-to-win token”.

The second biggest faller out of all cryptos is teddydog (TDG) which has dropped by 85.28% to $0.000000002763. TDG is “an infinitely deflationary token based on the BSC chain” states CoinMarketCap.

The third biggest faller out of all cryptos of the day is G.O.A.T Token (G.O.A.T), which is down by 84.28% to $0.00000000002916.  CoinMarketCap says G.O.A.T stands for Greatest of All Tokens and “aims to disrupt the decentralised finance (DeFi) space while emphasising investor education platforms”.
