Crypto market update: BTC falls to $33,000
Nine out of the top 10 cryptos are down today
The price of bitcoin (BTC) ended yesterday at $36,279 after rising by 3.46% over the course of the day, according to Currency.com. The price of the lead cryptocurrency is now $33,592.
The volume of BTC has decreased by 2.47% over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, nine out of the top 10 cryptos are down today according to CoinMarketCap, with BTC down by 5.93%.
Ethereum (ETH) is down by 11.04% to $2,221, binance coin (BNB) is down by 9.90% to $343, cardano (ADA) is down by 11.96% to $0.98 and solana (SOL) is down by 17.69% to $83.04.
Out of the two stablecoins in the top 10 cryptos, one is up and one is down. Tether (USDT) is down 0.04% but remains priced at $1. USD Coin (USDC) is up by 0.04% but has dropped below the $1 mark to $0.9997.
Ripple (XRP) is down by 9.48% to $0.5596, while dogecoin (DOGE) is down by 8.09% to $0.127 but has regained its position back in the top 10 cryptos after recently dropping to 11th place.
The biggest riser of the day is PsyOptions (PSY), which has risen by 2,239,123.33% to $0.2054. According to CoinMarketCap, PSY is “purely a governance token that manages the smart contracts, and treasury of tokens through on-chain voting”.
The second-biggest riser of the day is Domain Coin (DMN), which increased by 2,968.08% to $0.006916. DMN is described by CoinMarketCap as “cross-platform blockchain-based token that’s dedicated to making business communication easier and more accessible to everyone”.

The third-biggest riser of the day is Aitra (AITRA), which is up by 1,334.08% to $06989. CoinMarketCap states that AITRA “is a platform developed for automated and accurate trading signals for top and trending cryptocurrencies”.
Protofi (PROTO) is the biggest faller of the day, having dropped by 99.93% to $0.2564. PROTO has a maximum “supply of 3,955,068” states CoinMarketCap.
The second-biggest faller of the day is AutoMatic Network (AUMI), dropping by 99.89% to $0.001958. CoinMarketCap states “is a yield aggregator on the Polygon Chain. It uses an auto-compounding function to increase returns on yield farms. Once set, the protocol runs itself, without the need for further attention from the investor.”
The third biggest faller of the day is MetaMorph (METM), having decreased by 99.06% to $0.000003355. METM is described by CoinMarketCap as a “cryptocurrency that operates on the Ethereum platform”.
