United Airlines partners with Star Wars franchise to create movie-themed aircraft
The new Star Wars-themed aircraft will feature new livery and an in-flight safety video featuring film characters
United Airlines has teamed up with the Star Wars franchise to offer a special experience for customers and employees. This is in the lead-up to the release of
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on December 20.
Customers will begin “flying the friendly galaxy” from November 7 when United unveils a Star Wars-themed paint design on one of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. There will also be a new onboard experience.
The airline will also offer themed amenity kits and launch its latest inflight safety demonstration video featuring characters from the new film.
Passengers on the flight will be greeted with Star Wars-themed music during the boarding process and receive commemorative pins throughout December.
For lucky MileagePlus members there will be passes to attend the premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in Los Angeles and London.
Together United and United Express operate around 4,900 flights a day to 358 airports across five continents.
