Pawthereum’s mission is to “support animal shelters and be a digital advocate for animals in need”. It was created to financially assist smaller animal shelters that are “often overlooked and overshadowed by larger charitable organisations”.
To do this, Pawthereum “utilises the advantages of blockchain technology to obtain funding, bypass the middleman and donate directly to animal shelters around the world”.
The charity has donated nearly $480,000 (£382,486) to animal welfare organisations since its inception in October 2021.

11 March: SafeMoon VP steps down to return to education
Charles Karony, vice president (VP) of operations at SafeMoon, the decentralised finance (DeFi) token has announced he is stepping down from his position to return to university to complete his degree.
Karony is studying Financial Economics at Brigham Young University in the US, Idaho.
The student has only held the position of VP of operations at SafeMoon for six months and was executive assistant for seven months prior to that.
Karony makes it clear that he has enjoyed his time with SafeMoon and that he is “extremely proud of all SafeMoon has accomplished and grateful for the opportunity” he has had with the crypto.
Karony states that the past year has seen “exponential growth” for SafeMoon and that he will never forget the time spent with the team “of amazing people who make up the force we know as the #SAFEMOONARMY”.
The economics student admits to owning SFM and is “amazed” by the accomplishments the company and community have made and adds he “remains committed to the bright future in store for SafeMoon”.
SafeMoon’s price in the past year
According to CoinMarketCap, SFM price history during the past year has never been able to regain its position it held in April 2021 of $0.00001118.
Since then, it fell to around the $0.00000317 mark for the rest of 2021 and is currently priced at $0.0000004948.
A possible return?
Karony ended the thread by stating that “this is not the last you will hear from me” and he hopes the SafeMoon community will keep in touch with him.
The Brigham Young University student signed off on a joke by saying, “I'll see you around. Because apparently, I'm quite tall”.
The reaction on Twitter to Karony’s tweet was mostly positive with the SAFEMOONARMY wishing him good luck with his studies, however, one Twitter user said he does not quite understand his move and compared it to Elon Musk leaving Tesla in its early days to go back to education.
