Numerous celebrities have recently tweeted about cryptocurrencies, with American singer Jason Derulo being the most recent.

Derulo announced on Twitter that he has invested in solana (SOL) in June this year.

Following that Derulo tweeted out again: “I’m Ridin’ Sol-ana” in reference to his song ‘Ridin’ Solo’.

According to CoinMarketCap, SOL is worth $145 and ranked as the seventh most valuable crypto. CoinMarketCap states SOL “is designed to facilitate decentralised app (DApp) creation. It aims to improve scalability by introducing a proof-of-history (PoH) consensus combined with the underlying proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus of the blockchain”.

Back in June 2021, SOL was worth at its highest point $42, however, from August onwards the crypto started to increase in value to the price it is at now.

Reese Witherspoon and Paris Hilton join the crypto buzz

American actress, Reese Witherspoon, also recently tweeted about crypto, stating that she’d made her first investment in ethereum (ETH).

Socialite, model and actress, Paris Hilton, on Twitter stated: “Loves it #Bitcoin”.

Her tweet was in response to Michael Saylor, founder and CEO of MicroStrategy Incorporated (MSTR), a company that provides business intelligence, mobile software and cloud-based services.

Hilton has also added red laser eyes to her Twitter profile picture, which is a trend among bitcoin bulls who believe the lead crypto will continue to soar in price.

The rapper and crypto education

In July, American rapper Busta Rhymes (real name Trevor George Smith Jr) started asking questions on Twitter relating to crypto.

The rapper received a response from Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter and Square, who pointed him towards hellobitco.in, a site that helps retail investors get to grips with the lead crypto.

Michael Saylor also replied to one of Busta Rhyme’s tweets and advised him to have a look at his firm, hope.com, which provides a set of free educational courses and podcasts.

Smith Jr thanked both for their replies and has also added red laser eyes to his Twitter photo.
