World Football Summit recognised the app for improving and “modernising fan engagement”

                        , the fan engagement and reward app powered by Chiliz, the global blockchain providers for the sports industry, has been awarded Best Digital Platform by the World Football Summit (WFS).

The category was presented by Seven League, a digital sports consultancy, with the jury recognising’s contribution to “improving and modernising fan engagement and fan monetisation in football” and using blockchain technology to create opportunities for fans. Additionally, has opened new revenue streams for clubs during the Covid-19 pandemic. received the award during the WFS Europe congress in Madrid, held at Wanda Metropolitan Stadium, home of Atlético de Madrid, a partner who has launched a Fan Token with the company.  Alexandre Dreyfus, founder and CEO of, collected the award and said he shares it with “all the start-ups that are working to create new solutions for the sports industry through technology and innovation”.

The WFS awards were created in 2017 to acknowledge and reward “the achievements of executives, managers, sponsors, agencies, media, non-governmental organisations and other professionals whose talent, passion and dedication help make football the greatest show of our time”. 

The Cup

Dreyfus revealed details about the new Cup at the event, which is a tournament involving some of the platform’s partners. The CEO said: “This will see fans interact in a much deeper way, voting to decide tournament format, goal scoring and many other things that have never been voted on before.” currently has over 60 sporting companies partnered with it, including Juventus FC, Atletico Madrid, A.S. Roma, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and AC Milan and five Premier League teams. They are Aston Villa, Leeds United, Everton, Arsenal and Manchester City. All five have launched or will be launching a Fan Token with Chiliz and

Recently, partnered with LaLiga the top professional division of the Spanish football league system, becoming the first major football league to do so. The pair will work together to create “new opportunities for the league’s more than 800m global fans to engage actively with the brand through the platform’s cutting-edge blockchain technology solutions”.

The partnership between the two will give fans “regardless of where in the world they are based” the ability to get closer to their football heroes and give them access to “official products, signed jerseys, free tickets and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities”.’s central belief is to transition passive to active fans which is essential to the future of sport.
