Fire Breaks Out at SpaceX Florida Facility, is Quickly Extinguished
A small fire broke out at a SpaceX facility in Florida and was quickly extinguished by the local fire department, TechCrunch reports Monday, July 8.

According to the report, the accident took place at a SpaceX site in Cocoa, Florida, where the aerospace company is developing its reusable Starship launch vehicle and spacecraft system.
The fire department responded in several minutes, and the fire reportedly did not result in any injuries or major damage to the facility.
An investigation has been started into the cause of the accident. As of press time, no commentary from the CEO and founder of SpaceX Elon Musk was available.
The facility in Florida is one of the two test sites that SpaceX uses for the development of its Starship spacecraft — the other one is located in Texas.
SpaceX aims to develop the Starship as a fully reusable spacecraft for cargo and passenger transportation. The company claims that it will make international travel much faster, cutting the time of most long-range trips to under 30 minutes.
