Spain’s LaLiga football league partners with Socios.com
Socios.com’s belief is to transition passive fans to active fans which is vital to the future of sport
LaLiga, the top professional division of the Spanish football league system, has partnered with Socios.com, the fan engagement and reward app powered by Chiliz, the global blockchain providers for the sports industry.
LaLiga is the first major football league to partner with Socios.com. The pair will work together to create “new opportunities for the league’s more than 800 million global fans to engage actively with the brand through the platform’s cutting-edge blockchain technology solutions.”
This move makes Socios.com a global fan engagement partner of LaLiga.
The partnership between the two will give fans “regardless of where in the world they are based” the ability to get closer to their football heroes and give them access to “official products, signed jerseys, free tickets and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities”.

Premier League and Socios.com
Five Premier League Football Clubs have signed a partnership with Chiliz and unveiled a new Fan Token via Socios.com.
They are Aston Villa with the $AVL Fan Token, Leeds United with the $LUFC Fan Token, Everton with the $EFC Fan Token, Arsenal with the $AFC Fan Token and Manchester City with the $CITY Fan Token.
More than 40 global sport organisations across 20 different countries and several different sports have launched their official Fan Token on the Socios.com app. This list includes LaLiga clubs like FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid and Levante UD.
LaLiga partners with Sorare to launch NFTs for all its players
LaLiga last week partnered with French non-fungible token (NFT) football trading card game developer Sorare to launch NFTs for its players.
All 20 teams in the LaLiga will be offering NFTs for every player in the league.
According to LaLiga this will give fans for the first time the chance to “freely trade and play with digital cards of players”. Sorare’s mission is to build “the game within the game” and plans to partner with every one of the world’s top 20 football leagues by the end of 2022.
Bayern Munich, Juventus and Liverpool already have NFTs on the platform.
