Thyssenkrupp AG is an international multi-industry company. Founded in 1999, the conglomerate is based in Duisburg and Essen, Germany. Thyssenkrupp separates their operations into six business areas. The Components Technology segment provides high-tech components for cars, machinery, wind turbines, and construction equipment. The Elevator Technology segment offers sophisticated passenger transportation solutions, including elevators, moving walks and jet bridges. The Industrial Solutions segment engages in the engineering of industrial facilities. The Material Services segment specialises in material distribution in around 40 countries. Finally, the Steel segment produces high-quality flat steel products. This business area is further divided into the Steel Europe and the Steel Americas. Thyssenkrupp shares are traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The company is a component of the prestigious DAX and DAX International indices.
