Metaverse powered by Zilliqa forms partnership with Agora
Metapolis, the metaverse powered by Zilliqa is set to launch publicly on 2 April 2022
Metapolis, the metaverse-as-a-service (MaaS) platform powered by Zilliqa, the layer-1 blockchain protocol has partnered with Agora, the global talent awards app.
Metapolis is set to launch publicly with a very important person (VIP) event on 2 April 2022 in Miami, Florida.
Zilliqa (ZIL) states the launch event is “a signal towards entering the US market and the vision of bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds.”
Metapolis has already raised $2m (£1.52) in pre-launch revenue, as creator-focused and esports brands are investing in the Zilliqa metaverse.
NFTs can now be submitted to Agora
Agora now allows users to upload video, music and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to the app. Agora is where both amateur and professionals can upload photographs based on the hashtag of the week on the app.
By doing so, they can “participate in contests to win support, visibility and recognition in the international community”.
Agora is described as “the first digital democratic system that ensures that talent is not measured by the number of likes, the followers or an algorithm, but by the people's vote.”
‘The forefront of web3 innovation’
Sandra Helou, head of metaverse and NFTs at Zilliqa, said: "We are excited for this partnership as we are able to bring not only creativity to life within the metaverse but also open borderless access for creatives worldwide to connect in the digital world. The partnership between Agora, Zilliqa and Metapolis means we are at the forefront of web3 innovation."
'The blockchain-of-choice for the esports industry'
On 23 March, Zilliqa partnered with three esports and gaming companies, Indonesian-based RPQ, Spain-based MAD Lions and Sweden’s Ninjas in Pyjamas. The blockchain stated it is “quickly emerging as the blockchain-of-choice for the esports industry”.
MAD Lions, RPQ and Ninjas in Pyjamas have also formed brand partnerships with Metapolis.
