Aloe Blacc and BAYC 1037 to drop new single Clapping NFT on S!NG
US platform will list an NFT in collaboration with Grammy-nominated musician Aloe Blacc

The US platform S!NG announced the drop of a non-fungible-token (NFT) in collaboration with Grammy-nominated musician Aloe Blacc and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) member #1037, Maui Prime, on the S!NG Market.
As S!NG noted to Currency.com, the NFT will contain the new video of the Aloe Blacc, "Clapping". The video of Blacc, which Currency.com viewed, features the Bored Ape Yacht Club 1037 with Aloe Blacc singing in the background.
The floor price for the NFT has not been determined, while its launch is set to be soon.
The announcement from the platform curated by ZEAL, which empowers creators to protect and sell their original work using blockchain technology, prompted collectors to offer, in a few hours, up to $141,000 for BAYC #1037 on the OpenSea platform.
Josh Ong, the current owner of Bored Ape #1037, said: “As we move into the metaverse, we’ll see new types of collaborations between virtual artists and physical artists. It’s an honour to work with Aloe Blacc, an artist I’ve always admired, on a unique music collectable featuring my Bored Ape, Maui Prime.”
“NFTs have created an entirely new way for artists to not only distribute their work but also to protect their intellectual property and get fully compensated for their efforts. I am proud of this track, and I am excited to be able to share it through S!NG Market,” said Aloe Blacc.
Next drops for S!ng
Over the next few weeks, new work from artists such as Our Lady Peace, Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit and Strangeloop Studios, THE NEVERLY BOYS, featuring Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio and Daniel Ledinsky, Nothing More, Mike’s Dead, and Call Me Karizma will debut.
“This is truly the future of music. Since the beginning of time, artists have always been at a disadvantage when it comes to protecting their work and getting fairly compensated for it. S!NG was created by artists, for artists, and we are excited to be working with Aloe and other A-list creators to bring amazing music to a global audience in an entirely new way,” said Geoff Osler, CEO and co-founder of S!NG.
