Animoca Brands and Polygon join ashport as validators
Hashport launch is scheduled on 9 November 2021

Hong Kong-based gaming and venture capital company Animoca Brands has become a validator of ‘hashport’, a public utility facilitating the secure transfer of digital assets
The move is aimed at reducing NFTs costs and improving transfers speeds between different distributed ledger technology (DLT) networks.
The hashport application will allow retail users to port their digital assets and explore new decentralised finance (DeFi), gaming and non-fungible token (NFT) apps seamlessly between networks.
“Hashport will allow users to take part in the growth of networks that were previously inaccessible, increasing their opportunities and the potential for collaboration between networks. Hashport seeks to strike the right balance between security, speed, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use,” said Animoca.
Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, commented: “We believe that hashport can contribute to the growth of the blockchain and NFT industries and help build the open metaverse for the masses.”
Hashport launch
The announcement follows a recent move by Polygon, a protocol and framework for building and connecting Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks, which are integrated into the hashport ecosystem to improve its capabilities to connect to other networks.
The hashport launch is scheduled for 9 November 2021, connecting Hedera’s public distributed ledger technology with both the Polygon and Ethereum networks, and supporting additional networks in the months after launch.
“In Animoca Brands, hashport has the support and expertise of the industry’s most decorated and knowledgeable DLT-based gaming company,” said Jesse Whiteside, director of business development at hashport.
“We look forward to having the opportunity to work with Animoca Brands in bringing greater choice, opportunity, and cohesiveness to decentralised networks everywhere.”
