AS Monaco to launch Fan Token on Socios.com
AS Monaco football team joins PSG rivals in launching a Fan Token with Socios.com
Association Sportive de Monaco Football Club SA, commonly referred to as AS Monaco – a professional football club based in Monaco that competes in Ligue 1, the top tier of French football – has signed up to a partnership with Chiliz, the global blockchain provider for the sports industry to produce a new Fan Tokens that will be unveiled via fan engagement and reward app Socios.com.
The $ASM Fan Token will give AS Monaco supporters access to games, competitions and quizzes where they can compete against other fans worldwide in global leader boards. As well as the chance to earn real-life and digital club-related rewards and benefits, it will also give access to AS Monaco club-related content and Socios.com’s geolocation-based, augmented-reality (AR) feature ‘Token Hunt’.
Chiliz said details for when the $ASM Fan Token will officially launch, its price and supply “will be revealed shortly”. Chiliz also said: “Socios.com and Fan Tokens will create countless opportunities for the club to recognise and reward its international fanbase.”
In addtion Socios.com will also become a part in AS Monaco’s “overall digital communications strategy” with the aim of helping to grow the club’s social media presence.
Ligue 1 competitor PSG has also partnered with Socios.com
Thus far, Socios.com has partnered with over 100 major sporting organisations, including leading European football teams Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) – which competes with AS Monaco in Ligue 1 – FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Napoli, AS Roma, Valencia, Manchester City and Arsenal.
In 2018, PSG became the first sports franchise to partner with Socios.com. When Lionel Messi moved from FC Barcelona to PSG in August this year, the French team announced it will pay part of the football star’s “welcome package” in $PSG Fan Tokens.
