BRIT Awards launches NFT charity collection
The NFT series will be released on 9 February with all pieces priced at £10 each

The BRIT Awards with Mastercard have announced their first-ever NFT collection to celebrate the 2022 award winners.
The drop, composed of 13 NFT categories – each developing a 250-piece edition – will follow the ceremony on Tuesday 8 February at London’s O2 arena.
The NFT series, launched in partnership with NFT platform Serenade, will be released on 9 February with all pieces priced at £10 each. Fans who collect them will be given the chance to win VIP tickets to next year’s BRIT Awards.
All proceeds are going to the BRIT Trust. The charity arm of the BRIT Awards invests in education and wellbeing causes in its mission to improve lives through music.
Digital artist MRE to design NFT collection
Designed by West Midlands-born digital artist MRE, who has worked with previous BRIT winners Dave and J Hus, the NFT collection will commemorate the 2022 winning artists of categories including Artist of the Year, Best New Artist, Mastercard Album of the Year and the four new ‘Best’ genre awards – Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act and Pop/R&B Act.
MRE said: “Working with The BRIT Awards to create something special to celebrate this year’s BRITs winners is a great opportunity to bring digital art and NFTs to a wider audience. This collaboration is helping develop new creative possibilities and to push the boundaries of what can be done to make music fans part of a wider experience.”
The artist is also known for his brand collaborations with clients including the likes of Sony, Selfridges & Co, Lacoste, Rolex and Creed.
The 2022 BRIT Awards
Nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards were revealed before Christmas, with artists including Adele, Dave, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Sam Fender, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Central Cee amongst the nominees.
The winner of the BRITs Rising Star Award has already been announced as Holly Humberstone, who will perform at the ceremony, along with Dave, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Liam Gallagher and Little Simz, with more names to be announced soon.
“Creating a unique NFT felt like an interesting and different approach, and by pricing them at a reasonable cost, a £10 charity donation, it allows more people to enter the emerging space of blockchain and digital art,” said Luke Ferrar, innovation director, Polydor Records and co-chair of BRITs Digital Committee.
