Christie’s to auction selection of art NFTs on OpenSea
The sale features a selection of NFTs, a mix of collectibles and new 1-of-1s
British auction house Christie’s announced a partnership with the leading NFT marketplace OpenSea, with the first event kicking off on 1 December with an on-chain auction hosted on Opensea.io and curated by Christie’s.
The auction will be open for browsing on OpenSea.io from 1 to 3 December, and open for bidding for three days after 4 December, including selected works from the exhibition at Art Basel Miami Beach at “The Gateway,” Christie’s sensory experience featuring music and NFT art.
The sale features a selection of NFTs, a mix of collectibles and new one-of-ones, curated by Christie’s specialist and head of Digital and Online Sales, Noah Davis, along with crypto collector and curator Ronnie Pirovino, and the platform nft now.

Highlights include Forever NFT, by multidisciplinary artist Mad Dog Jones and Miami Vice Rocket NFT by Tom Sachs, while among the pieces announced in the collection, there are also EtherRock NFTs.
Launched in 2017, EtherRock was one of the first crypto collectable NFT-type projects on the Ethereum blockchain, having launched shortly after CryptoPunks. “Only 100 rocks can ever be available, and each new virgin rock gets more and more expensive,” according to the EtherRock website.
Alongside EtherRock, Christie’s x OpenSea sale will feature NFT artists Andre Oshea, Alpha Centauri Kid, Ash Thorp, Baeige, Blake Kathryn, CyberKongz, DotPigeon, FriendsWithYou, Fvckrender, GMUNK, Joshua Davis, KESH, Krista Kim, Maciej Kucara, Mad Dog Jones, Tom Sachs, Olive Allen, Oseanworld, Victor Mosquera, WhIsBe, and Recur.
