Crypto market update: BTC at $20,000
The biggest riser of the day out of the top 100 cryptos was Synthetix (SNX)
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) ended yesterday at $20,546 after rising by 8.46% during the day, according to Currency.com. The leading crypto was trading at $20,617 earlier today.
The trading volume of BTC had decreased by 21.62% over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, nine out of the top 10 cryptos are up today according to CoinMarketCap, with BTC up by 4.54%.
Out of the two stablecoins in the top 10 cryptos, one was up and the other was down. Tether (USDT) was up by 0.01% but had still fallen below the $1 mark to $0.99. USD Coin (USDC) was down by 0.03% but remains priced at $1.
Top 100 cryptos: biggest risers
The biggest riser out of the top 100 cryptos was Synthetix (SNX) which increased by 65.54% to $2.76. According to CoinMarketCap, Synthetix “is a decentralised finance (DeFi) protocol that provides on-chain exposure to a wide variety of crypto and non-crypto assets. The protocol is based on the Ethereum blockchain.”
The second biggest riser of the day was STEPN (GMT), which was up by 24.98% to $0.78. STEPN “is a self-styled Web 3.0 lifestyle app with GameFi elements on the Solana blockchain and combines aspects of a play-to-earn (P2E) game with a fitness app to create a new category coined ‘move-to-earn’,” states CoinMarketCap.
The third biggest top 100 riser was 1inch Network (1INCH), up by 24.07% to $0.69. CoinMarketCap says “the 1inch Network unites decentralised protocols whose synergy enables the most lucrative, fastest and protected operations in the DeFi space.”
Top 100 cryptos: biggest fallers
TRON (TRX) was the biggest faller of the day out of the top 100 cryptos, dropping by 1.91% to $0.061. CoinMarketCap describes TRX as “a decentralised blockchain-based operating system developed by the Tron Foundation and launched in 2017”.
The second biggest faller was Pax Dollar (USDP) having decreased by 0.46% to $0.99. According to CoinMarketCap, “founded in September of 2018, Pax Dollar is a flat-collateralised stablecoin” pegged to the US dollar.
The third biggest faller was Fei USD (FEI), having dropped by 0.18% to $0.99. CoinMarketCap describes FEI as “a DeFi native algorithmic stablecoin”.
Overall biggest crypto risers
Out of the more than 10,000 cryptos listed on CoinMarketCap, IjasCoin (IJC) was the overall biggest riser of the day, up by 198.69% to $0.00004812. According to CoinMarketCap, “the visionary behind the idea to create the IjasCoin is Jayson Panopio, a senior software engineer [who has] worked with many top Fortune 500 companies such as WellPoint, Pfizer, Monsanto and Affinity Group.”
The second biggest riser of all cryptos was Petsneaker (PSC), which increased by 172.26% to $0.005342. The best crypto exchange for trading PSC is PancakeSwap, according to CoinMarketCap.
The third overall biggest riser was Tom Coin (TMC), up by 140.56% to $0.0000000006609. CoinMarketCap says TMC “is a meme coin that can attract all memes lovers worldwide”.
Overall biggest crypto fallers
OSK (OSK) was the biggest faller of the day out of all cryptos listed on CoinMarketCap, falling by 92.26% to $25.54. CoinMarketCap explains that “OSK is a DeFi project on the TRON public chain, aiming to create a decentralised film and television financial ecosystem”.
The second biggest faller out of all cryptos was SQUID GAME 2.0 (SQUID), which has dropped by 92.06% to $0.00000102. SQUID GAME 2.0, states CoinMarketCap, wishes to distance itself from the original Squid Game crypto, which was a rug-pull.
The third biggest faller out of all cryptos was Bullshit Inu (BULL) which was down by 81.24% to $0.0000002825. The best crypto exchanges for trading PSC, according to CoinMarketCap, are AAX and PancakeSwap.
