Crypto market update: BTC drops to $21,000

The biggest riser of the day out of the top 100 cryptos was helium (HNT)

The price of Bitcoin (BTC) ended yesterday at $22,440 after falling by 15.43% during the day, according to Currency.com. The lead crypto was trading at $21,878 earlier today.

The trading volume of BTC had increased by 5.12% over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, four out of the top 10 cryptos are down today according to CoinMarketCap, with BTC down by 9.16%.

Ethereum (ETH) was down by 5.18% to $1,207, Binance Coin (BNB) was down by 1.64% to $221, Cardano (ADA) was up by 8.52% to $0.49 and Solana (SOL) was up by 8.30% to $29.     

The two stablecoins in the top 10 cryptos are both up today. Tether (USDT) was up by 0.06% but had still fallen below the $1 mark to $0.99. USD Coin (USDC) was up by 0.01% to $1.

Ripple (XRP) was up by 0.52% to $0.31 and Dogecoin (DOGE) was up by 2.20% to $0.05.

Biggest risers out of the top 100 cryptos

The biggest riser of the day out of the top 100 cryptos was helium (HNT), which increased by 22.85% to $9.58. According to CoinMarketCap, HNT “is a decentralised blockchain-powered network for Internet of Things (IoT) devices”.

The second biggest riser of the day out of the top 100 was Theta Network (THETA), which was up by 16.32% to $1.14. THETA “is a blockchain powered network purpose-built for video streaming, launched in March 2019” states CoinMarketCap.

The third biggest top 100 riser was Bitcoin SV (BSV), up by 16.17% to $52.62. CoinMarketCap says BSV comes from a “hard fork of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain in 2018, which had in turn forked from the BTC blockchain a year earlier.”

Biggest fallers out of the top 100 cryptos

Monero (XMR) was the biggest faller of the day out of the top 100 cryptos, dropping by 10.25% to $124.35. CoinMarketCap states Monero “was launched in 2014, and its goal is simple: to allow transactions to take place privately and with anonymity.”

The second biggest faller out of the top 100 was Klatyn (KLAY), having decreased by 8.06% to $0.24. According to CoinMarketCap Klaytn “is a public blockchain focused on the metaverse, gamefi, and the creator economy”.

The third biggest faller out of the top 100 was TRON (TRX), having dropped by 6.10% to $0.05. CoinMarketCap describes TRX “is a decentralised blockchain-based operating system developed by the Tron Foundation and launched in 2017”.

Overall biggest crypto risers

Out of the more than 10,000 cryptos listed on CoinMarketCap, MINT 2 EARN (MTE) was the overall biggest riser of the day, up by 893.33% to $0.0000002347. According to CoinMarketCap, the best cryptocurrency exchange for trading in MINT 2 EARN stock is currently PancakeSwap.  

The second biggest riser of all cryptos was Metaxa (METAXA), which increased by 318.61% to $0.000000813. METAXA, “is the protocol established on the Binance Smart Chain network and intended to be used for purchases within the universe that Metaxa is developing” states CoinMarketCap.

The third overall biggest riser was Doge Rise Up (DOGERISEUP), up by 177.06% to $0.0000000007358. CoinMarketCap says DOGERISEUP “is a token launched on Binance Smart Chain with automatic liquidity pool growth and holder rewards through transaction taxation.”

Overall biggest crypto fallers

Solily Protocol (LILY) was the biggest faller of the day out of all cryptos listed on CoinMarketCap falling by 99.65% to $0.0002223. CoinMarketCap explains “Solily Protocol is a one-stop decentralised finance (DeFi) platform incorporating a variety of DeFi services into one ecosystem”.

The second biggest faller out of all cryptos was Wild Island Game (WILD), which has dropped by 82.31% to $0.0003412. Wild Island Game, states CoinMarketCap, “is a non-fungible token (NFT) Game set on a giant island, in this game your objective will be to guide the beasts that inhabit it to survive.”

The third biggest faller out of all cryptos was Sing To Earn (S2E), which was down by 81.48% to $0.0000005296. CoinMarketCap says S2E “is built on a daily leisure activity of most people. This is the first project to bring efficiency to the concept of singing and earning money.”
