Disney to launch NFT digital collectibles with VeVe
Purchasers of these NFTs will also receive to a three-month subscription to Disney+

Disney and VeVe are working in collaborating to launch a series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in celebration of Disney+ Day. Disney+ Day marks the second anniversary of the streaming site going live on 12 November.
As Disney owns such names as Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars, it opens the door to NFTs being unveiled depicting characters from these well-known brands. Although, some Marvel characters have already been sold as NFTs via VeVe.
This NFT series will be named ‘Golden Moments’ and will see NFTs drop in the run up to Disney+ Day, with a special Ultra Rare NFT going live on the 12 November.
NFTs open door to Disney+ subscription
An added advantage of purchasing an NFT from the 'Golden Moments' collection will also entitle the buyer to receive three months of Disney+ “courtesy of VeVe”.
Those who buy the special Ultra Rare Disney NFT will receive a twelve-month subscription.
Marvel Month
In August, Marvel Entertainment and VeVe unveiled multiple Marvel themed NFTs, such as Spider-Man, Captain America, Fantastic Four and certain comic books.
The NFTs depicting the heroes Spider-Man, Captain America and the Fantastic Four came in different rarities such as common, uncommon, rare and ultra-rare.
The Spider-Man NFT sold out in 24 hours and the ‘Marvel Mightys’ Captain America NFTs sold out in 15 minutes – although, the Captain America NFTs were cheaper.
To celebrate its 82nd birthday on 31 August and conclude Marvel Month, Marvel Entertainment launched its final NFT of Captain America and ‘The Amazing Spider-Man #1’ comic book on VeVe.
The Captain America NFT depicted how the hero originally looked when he first appeared in Marvel comics in 1941. The Marvel 1st Captain America NFT comes in five digital statues, like the other NFTs which will be offered at different levels of quantity and prices.
The first issue of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ was also available to purchase as an NFT. All purchases are readable and will be offered in a blind box format with five cover variants for $6.99 (£5.00).
