Lamborghini unveils a Space Key NFT
To the moon and back: Lamborghini Space Key NFT provides access to a NFT art piece
Lamborghini has entered the metaverse with an NFT artwork accessible via the Lamborghini Space Key.
The exclusive project, limited to only five NFT pieces, was developed with an as yet undisclosed artist.
Each of the five soon-be-auctioned Space Keys is linked to an exclusive and purely digital artwork by the same artist through a QR code on the reverse side of the key.
As the Italian luxury car brand explains, at the heart of the project is a piece of advanced carbon-fibre composite material that Lamborghini sent to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 as part of a joint research project.
After its return from space, the carbon-fibre composite is now part of the Space Key.
“Innovation is a deeply rooted part of the Lamborghini DNA,” said Stephan Winkelmann, chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

The artworks were developed in cooperation with the NFT PRO platform, a white-label NFT solution for business.
The company said full details about the Lamborghini Space Key project will be made available over the coming weeks, including the artist’s identity and information about the auction.
“As a leading company for carbon-fibre composite materials within the automotive sector, we pushed boundaries two and a half years ago with the joint research project in space,” said Winkelmann.
“Now entering the metaverse is again proof of Lamborghini always setting sail for new horizons.
“The NFT world has been calling to us, and we are excited about engaging with this very passionate and innovative community,” he added.
