The Mercedes Formula 1 (F1) Team and FTX the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange have announced a long-term partnership.

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team’s partnership deal with FTX will span multiple race seasons. As part of this deal, the FTX logo will be featured on both the driver and the cars. The first time the logo will make an appearance is this Sunday 26 September at the Russian Grand Prix.

As a team partner the FTX logo will also be placed on the team’s fleet of Mercedes-Benz trucks, in the garage and on all partner logo displays in the trackside hospitality and communications facilities.

Lewis Hamilton can now ‘further expand the reach of FTX brand’

As a team member of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, Sir Lewis Hamilton can be used by FTX to ‘further expand the reach of the FTX brand to F1's global fan base through marketing initiatives’.

Hamilton has won a joint-record seven World Drivers’ Championships titles, which ties him with Michael Schumacher. FTX will also have access to fellow Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas.

Additionally, FTX Pay, a non-fungible token (NFT) collection and FTX’s corporate social responsibility initiatives which will be announced at a later date will also be looked at by Mercedes F1 to embark on.
