NBA Philadelphia 76ers make Crypto.com official partner
Crypto.com logo will appear on the Philadelphia 76ers team shirt
The Philadelphia 76ers, a US National Basketball Association (NBA) team, has announced a partnership deal with Crypto.com that will make the company the team’s official jersey partner.
Crypto.com claims to be the fastest-growing crypto platform, and its first partnership in the NBA will also see the 76ers launch their first-ever non-fungible token (NFT), available on Crypto.com NFT, with a second NFT launching in November.
The next NBA season will start in October and see all four 76ers uniforms feature the Crypto.com logo on the left shoulder of the team’s shirt. The team plays in the league's Eastern Conference Atlantic Division.
The Crypto.com logo will also appear in the 76ers' arena – the Wells Fargo Centre. The crypto firm will also be present in the 76ers fan hub, sponsor rewards for fans and introduce a Crypto.com school to educate fans about cryptocurrency.
The crypto platform’s logo will also be appearing in regional, national and global television broadcasts and digital channels such as the Sixers.com, and the 76ers' Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube channels. Crypto.com will also be an official international marketing partner of the team.
PSG and Formula 1
Crypto.com is no stranger to sports deals as it has already signed up with numerous mainstream sports and clubs. Most recently Crypto.com became French football team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) first official cryptocurrency platform partner of the club.
In the same way as the 76ers' deal, the agreement includes the release of exclusive non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Crypto.com’s NFT platform. Additionally, Crypto.com will pay a significant portion of the sponsorship fee using the Crypto.com Coin (CRO).
In August, Formula 1 (F1) motor racing announced the Crypto.com Overtake Award. The winner of the award will be the driver who has made the most overtakes during the season.
According to F1, the award “which is the first of its kind, is designed to celebrate the bravery exhibited by drivers who make bold moves in pursuit of success”.
The first Crypto.com Overtake Award will be given to the driver with the “most overtakes throughout the entirety of the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship and the winner will be presented with a trophy at the end of the season”.
