Paris Hilton backs the metaverse as the “future of partying”
The Hilton heiress is one of many celebrities who are rushing to embrace the metaverse

Socialite and heiress Paris Hilton has voiced her confidence towards the metaverse and the opportunities of a digital world, stating that it will also be recognised as the future of several industries including the “future of partying”.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on 25 January, Hilton discussed her interest in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and hinted at dropping her new NFT collection with Superplastic, a popular toy and digital collectibles creator.
Fallon’s audience caught a glimpse of her latest NFT, called My Forever Fairytale, which represents a highlight of her memories with husband Carter Reum. Hilton gifted each member of the audience with the NFT.

Busy rebranding her media image
Hilton has been working hard to refresh her image in order to move away from her socialite lifestsyle and to rebrand herself as a business powerhouse. Back in October, she partnered with entertainment veternan Bruce Gersh to form 11:11 Media, as a way to venture into new entertainment and digital projects.
Hilton, who once would charge upwards of $1m an event as a celebrity DJ, has also shown interest in the metaverse, recognising its potential to form parallel systems of existence with new social communities. Last year, she sold her Iconic Crypto Queen NFT for $1.1m, which is currently listed for sale on OpenSea. She has a reported NFT collection of more than 140 collectibles.
Welcome to Paris World
For New Year’s Eve, Hilton created Paris World, her own private island in Roblox to draw in visitors for her digital New Year‘s Eve party.
Visitors were able to view a digital replica of her current home in Beverly Hills where they could buy digital outfits from her closet, as well as explore the island, which featured an amusement park, nightclub and zoo, via a luxury car or yacht.
“I see Paris World evolving into a destination for different events throughout the year – Valentine’s Day, Super Bowl, New York Fashion Week,” said Hilton.
“I think it’s important for people to not only be in the physical world but also to be in the digital world. I see this is as the future of partying, going out, interacting with people and being social.”
