Berkshire Hathaway is a multinational holding company led by the famous investor Warren Buffet and is based in US. The Berkshire Hathaway Portfolio consists of major public companies stocks and its public market equity is valued at about $242 billion.

The Berkshire Hathaway portfolio Index consists of the 10 largest companies of the famous Warren Buffet’s portfolio and offered by Currency.com. The Index consists of companies such as Apple Inc. (AAPL), Bank of America Corp (BAC), Coca-Cola Co (KO), American Express Company (AXP), Kraft Heinz Co (KHC), Wells Fargo & Co (WFC), Moody’s Corporation (MCO), JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM), U.S. Bancorp (USB) and Bank of New York Mellon Corp (BK).
The index is weighted to make equal impact for all shares.
How is it calculated?
Index is calculated as the sum of the product of each share price multiplied with its respective quantity (P1*Q1 + P2*Q2 +…+ P10*Q10). In order their impact to be equal, the quantities used are presented as below:
Q1 (AAPL) = 1
Q2 (BAC) = 5
Q3 (KO) = 3
Q4 (AXP) = 1
Q5 (KHC) = 4
Q6 (WFC) = 6
Q7 (MCO) = 1
Q8 (JPM) = 1
Q9 (USB) = 4
Q10 (BK) = 4
